Conditions of Library Use
1.
(a.) No person in the Library shall behave in a manner which, in the opinion of the Library staff, is offensive to, or unduly inconveniencies, other Library users, or which causes, or is likely to cause, damage to any Library property.
(b). No person may eat or drink in the Library. No animal may be brought into the Library except guide dogs.
(c) Rights to use the Library and membership card are non-transferable.
(d) Any persons who enter the Library may be requested to show their bags for inspection. Valuables should not be left unattended.
(e) Articles left unattended in the Library shall be cleared away by the Library staff. The College, Library staff shall have no responsibility for personal belongings left, lost or stolen in the Library. Please refer to Student Services Policy (PCY001).
(f) Young children must not be left unsupervised.
(g) Students agree to abide by the College's Acceptable Use of Internet (Student) Policy (PCY054).

(a) Membership is valid for one year or less.
(b) To register as a Library member, students need to present their current enrolment form with the cashier's imprint as proof of fees paid. Staff and special borrowers need to present suitable identification.
(c) Clients may register and borrow material from the Library on such conditions as the Library Manager prescribes. Provision may be made for different categories of borrowers and different loan terms.
(d) A borrower is responsible for the safekeeping and return of all Library materials borrowed using his/her card.
(e) Only Central students are permitted to use the computers in the Library.
3.
(a) Every borrowed item shall be returned to the Library by the due date.
(b) It is the responsibility of every borrower to ensure that all his/her items are placed in the designated Returns location.
(c) Any item of borrowed Library material may be recalled by the Library staff and shall be returned to the Library by the date specified.
4. (a) Library materials may be copied only in accordance with the Copyright act of 1968 as amended.
5. (a) A person may not borrow any Library material or utilise the Computer Services and other facilities if he/she:
- has overdue Library materials.
- is in breach of these conditions of membership.
- has not paid a penalty imposed under these conditions.
- is under suspension.
(b) A borrower who loses or damages Library materials or equipment is liable for replacement or repair cost.
(c) Any borrower who receives a lost item notification should contact the Library immediately.
The Manager of Student Resources, or nominated Librarians, reserve the right to suspend or cancel a borrower's privileges if these conditions are breached.
